Glass beach

"This spectacular and photogenic beach with its fine white sand is located on the northeastern coast of Fuerteventura, fully integrated within the protected landscape of the Corralejo Dunes Natural Park, in the municipality of La Oliva, and situated a short distance from the area's large hotels. The landscape of this sandy beach stands out for its breathtaking desert beauty and its atmosphere of freedom, where immense mounds of organic volcanic sand slope gently down to a shore bathed by extraordinarily clean, transparent waters of an idyllic turquoise blue. The coastline combines sheltered bathing areas with stretches open to the Atlantic Ocean. This characteristic makes it a very versatile enclave, ideal both for bathers seeking to relax in the sun and practice nudism in complete tranquility in its characteristic stone enclosures, and for water sports enthusiasts who take advantage of the area's wind and waves. Lacking promenades or modern urban infrastructure along its immediate edges, the area retains a pristine and wild essence, where endemic dune flora, such as the rockrose, grows naturally, adapting to the constant movement of sand pushed by the trade winds. Access to the site is extremely convenient and direct, as there are designated parking areas along the FV-1 scenic road, which connects Corralejo with the island's capital. From the car, just a few steps across the dune are enough to reach the shore, which offers a clear, unobstructed, and privileged view of the sea horizon, dominated by the unmistakable silhouette of Lobos Islet."

"A very quiet beach with little wave action, even in windy conditions. It's quite shallow, but stony. You rarely see water sports enthusiasts here. Parking is easy to find right by the roadside. Worth a visit sometime."
